I will still be able to listen to this early work of Jays' in years to come and that is the way I measure music. |

Biography
After little success singing in local rock bands, Jay decided that was not his true calling. Instead, he has opted to write music with deep personal meaning, rung from his young but often tortured soul, ignoring the pull of convention and the mainstream, taking the “Hard Route” as that offers the best art. In his own words- “Chronic spells of depression, reclusiveness and Insomnia have gone some way to shaping me, and the music I write. Recently the focus of my work has been the artistry of dreaming, rather than the fear of sleeping. I find the creative process of writing music cathartic, it is my personal therapy.” – Jay Thackery 2011 Jay entered the recording studio in January 2011 to lay down a few tracks and has walked out with a four track EP titled The Day Dreamer it is due for release in late March 2011 but can be heard below.
